Lesson 3 of 9 · 10 min
Pick a niche and build an offer that sells itself
Generalists compete on price. You'll pick a niche you can speak for, and an offer with a number in it.
ایک نیش چنیں جہاں آپ کو پہلے سے سمجھ ہو، اور ایسی آفر بنائیں جس میں نتیجہ، وقت اور قیمت واضح ہو — ماہانہ ریٹینر پر۔
Niche: where you already have unfair context
The best niche isn't the trendiest — it's the one where you already speak the language: an industry you've worked in, a community you belong to, a city you know street by street. Buyers can tell within two minutes whether you understand their world; that understanding is worth more than any portfolio when you're starting.
Test a niche with three questions. Do these businesses spend on marketing already (look at who's running ads)? Can you name twenty of them within an hour? Is there a result you could plausibly produce in the first 60 days? If any answer is no, adjust.
The offer: outcome, timeframe, number
Weak offer: 'social media management'. Strong offer: 'a steady flow of booked appointments from Google and AI search within 90 days, or you don't renew'. The structure is outcome + timeframe + a commitment you control. Price as a monthly retainer — £500–£1,500 is the honest starting band for a solo AI-assisted operator, depending on niche spend levels — and resist project pricing, which caps you at your own hours.
Write the offer as one paragraph you could say out loud without blushing. You'll reuse it verbatim in outreach, on your site, and in your contract.
- → Choose one niche and list 20 real businesses in it.
- → Write your one-paragraph offer: outcome, timeframe, retainer price.
