Run it on yourself first

Your own business is client zero. Everything you'll sell, you'll have used — which is also your best sales asset.

Client zero

The single most convincing thing an agency can say is 'this is how we market ourselves, and it works'. So before any outreach, point the platform at your own venture — even if that venture is just 'me, offering marketing'. Connect what you have, and let the system produce for you: a keyword plan, articles, a posting rhythm, a lead pipeline.

This does two jobs at once. You learn every screen you'll later drive for clients, on a workspace where mistakes are free. And you accumulate the artefacts — a ranking chart, a published article, a growing pipeline — that become your own proof when you pitch.

The setup that matters (an hour, not a week)

Set your workspace name and logo. Run a keyword research task with a plain-English brief of what you offer. Generate your first article and publish it — hosted publishing works with zero configuration if you don't have a site yet. Add three keywords to rank tracking against your domain. Add three prompts to AI-visibility (GEO) checks: the questions a customer would ask an assistant when looking for someone like you.

Then let a week pass. The point of this lesson is patience: the system compounds — checks run weekly, articles index, the strategist forms a view. You'll use that week for lessons 3 and 4.
